Doula’s are not medically trained and cannot practice medicine or provide medical advice. A doula & a midwife carry very different roles in your pregnancy & birth space.

This is a very common hurdle women encounter. My advice is to book a vibe check with me, more often than not once men/partner’s meet me, they feel more confident in my role and how I support. It’s often the Dad’s that give me the biggest bear hug after birth! (Just read my client testimonials through the tab below!)

Engaging a doula is an investment. An investment in your experience and wellbeing. As a mother myself, I am acutely aware of household costs & rising expenses which is why I offer payment plans for my support.
I even suggest creating a registry for family & friends to contribute to in lieu of baby shower items (let’s be honest, how many Bonds wondersuits do you really need?!)

Each doula has their own essence and philosophy. It is important you feel comfortable with your doula to ask questions and speak your mind.
What is your doula’s birth philosophy? How do you feel in the presence of your doula?
Do they have the experience to support you in your chosen birth setting? (i.e advocating in a hospital setting, understanding how homebirth works)
