What is Womb Hara Massage?
An integrative massage that restores your well-being, activates your life force centres and clears stagnancies in the body.
What is Womb Hara?
Womb Hara Massage is an integrative bodywork session that seeks to support the mind, body and soul. Massage of the abdominal, sacral and womb areas help to increase the flow of chi, one’s vital life for energy. It supports the clearing of blockages and stagnant energy held within the tissues of the body while restoring balance to the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. What can Womb Hara support?
Womb Hara is ideal for anyone who has or has had a womb (and has experienced their first menstrual bleed)

Women receive womb hara for various reasons, the most common are;

-
IBS/Digestive Issues
-
Endometriosis/PCOS/ Adenmyosis
-
Fertility & Conception
-
Fibroids
-
Mood Imbalances such as anxiety and depression
-
Irregular or Uncomfortable Cycles
-
Improve sense of well-being
-
Pelvic Pain
-
Sexual Trauma & Abuse
-
Energetic Blockages caused by trauma in the body
-
Pre & Post Menopausal
When should I not receive Womb Hara Massage?
-
If you are pregnant
-
If you are trying to conceive you can still receive but it must occur during your post bleed - pre ovulation window
-
If you are on your bleed (predominantly in the heavier initial days of your bleed) if received on your bleed it can exasperate any discomforts and encourage a longer, heavier bleed
-
If you are recovering from major abdominal or back surgery such as caesarean section

A general guide I suggest to my clients - if you can self massage your abdomen and womb space with a level of pressure and not experience discomforts than you are likely okay to receive - but when in doubt please ask.
What to expect in the massage
If it is your first massage, we will have a pre massage consult to go over your history and discuss what to expect in more detail.

The session goes for 2 hours

You will be asked to undress to your underwear - if you are comfortable, removing all clothing and undergarments allows for better access to areas such as the glutes (your privacy is respected at all times)
